I first read this serialized in Analog, and it is one of my all time favorite science fiction stories. One cannot help but empathize with the heroine. I admit that I am partial to the story because the climactic scenes take place not far from where I grew up, so it is easy for me to visualize what is going on. If you liked GIbson's Neuromancer, you'll like Glass Houses. Mixon has a gift for writing realistic characters who are compelling and believable. If you can find this book, I recommend you buy it.
