Cindy is happy to be a part of the McLean family, and is thrilled to travel with them to California to watch Samantha ride in a competition. One day she'll compete, too--when she convinces them all that her horse Glory has what it takes to be a champion.
I really liked this book, and it was the second I read in the series, I couldn't put it down. But now that I've read more in this series, I see more problems with this book. It's just that Glory winning his first race ever by 20 lengths is slighly outlandish, and something about Cindy just gives me a weird feeling. She's nothing like Ash and Sammy, and I know everyone's different, but she acts like her life depends on Glory's winning, and she doesn't seem to have a whole relationship with the colt. But it's still very good, and I reccomend it.
Glory's Thriumph: It's sort of IMPOSSIBLE.....

I mean, come on! Glory winning his first race by 20 LENGHTHS! But other wise, it's okay. I was generous and I gave it 5 stars but I could have gave it 2 stars. When I review a book, I almost never give 1,2 or 3 stars(just 4 or 5) unless the book was HORRABLE. But really! I've never heard of a colt(or filly) that won his first race by 20 lenghths......Glory was amazing in his future races! If he was that good in #16, #18 then why didn't Ashleigh and Mike head him toward the Tripple Crown? Wonder's Champion never did any of the races that Glory did and Ashleigh and Mike headed Champion toward the Tripple Crown! I think they should have put Glory in the Tripple Crown. He would have done very well. And I don't remember but maybe Ashleigh and Mike should have headed Mr. WonderfuL(Wonder's Son) toward the Tripple Crown too.Acually, ALL of Wonder's offspring should have at least tried to race in the Tripple Crown but thanks to Lavinia, Townsend Princess couldn't have possibly ran in the Tripple Crown and Mr. Wonderful couldn't either because of an injury as well. Wonder's Leagacy(another of Wonder's sons)who apears in book#24 was sold to a woman in exchange for a horse that Christina(she's Ashleigh's daughter) LOVES soooo much. And Wonder's Star(another son!) isn't old enough. But Wonder, Wonder's Pride, and Wonder's Champion were all GREAT champions even though Wonder and Pride didn't win the Tripple Crown.EXCELLENT BOOK!
Very Good

I liked this book a lot. Cindy and Glory add something fresh to the books. But I would like to hear some more about Ashleigh and Wonder. I have one thing to tell you. Karen Bentley made a mistake writing about Wonder's Pride. She called him Townsend Pride, which is the name of his grandsire. She says it in other books as well. I just wanted to point this out.
WONDERful

I practically worship the Thoroughbred books. I give everyone 10. I love hearing about Cindy and Glory is an absolutly amazing horse, flying down the home stretch 20 gazzilion lengths in the lead; but I would really like to hear more about Wonder and Ashleigh. All the same, any Thoroughbred book is good enough for me. I want every single one there is. I have up to #21. I'm dying to get more. I often pretend that I am Ashleigh, Samantha, or Cindy... but nothing could compare to their lives. The Thoroughbred series is the best series in the world! Definatly
Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love it. It left me breathless. I just couldn't put it down. When Glory won by so much, I was amazed. It made me think I was really there. I wanted to hug Glory I was so happy. This is the best book I ever read! (I'm picky about books.) It made me want to read every book in the series. Thanks for a great book!!! -Jessie
