Set in an attic replete with facinating objects, Heller's text is a playful romp through the alphabet--one that uses alliteration to highlight the letter in question and introduce the ones that follow. This fun, imaginative book shows kids a world beyond pants and shirts with zoot suits, knickers and anoraks. The primary colors are represented but so are exotic colors like amber and cranberry. Kids will like the goblins - who range from goofy to silly-sophisticated. Adults will enjoy the detailed illustrations of unusual things in the attic setting.
Wonderful -- even for the littlest ones!

My wife and I were amazed at how much our two year old loved this book. Three weeks after we returned our first copy to the library (and a birthday when she received about 10 new books) she was still asking for it, so we bought one. The illustrations are great, and the "hidden" masters paintings lying around in the scenery are a nice bit of fun for parents. The words are nicely lyrical, and this is one I never minded reading over and over.

This book is perfect for children. The illustrations are what first drew me in ... and after reading it, I found the book itself wonderful as well. The illustrations are hilarious and will hold a child's attention. I think this is a book that a child would read over and over again just to see the creative pictures of the green goblins and to read about what each of the goblins is wearing ... such as "Thompson trying some tulip underwear ..." It's a great book for kids (and adults). It will bring about many laughs. I highly recommend it!
