This was my first introduction to the series by Jon Kirvan. It is still my favorite. Excellent for introductions to some of the world's greatest mystics with wonderful reflections and prayers. Beautiful for personal spiritual growth or for use with a group of like-minded spiritual journeyers.

This book is excellent for one who is a spiritual seeker. John Kirvan speaks from the heart and truth of things very clearly, simply, and eloquently. He does a good job incorporating many of the "mystical" writers/saints with his own thoughts. This book has been very helpful to me and I pick it up often to read. It is written in short concise meditations and prayers, so it is easy to read something meaningful that feeds your soul, within a short time frame.

I purchased God Hunger, by John Kirvan as a gift for a spiritual friend, as I have a copy myself. Obviously, I love the book, or I wouldn't have given it to my friend. I rarely read a book twice, but I keep God Hunger with my Bible and other special books for inspirational reading.
