Beautifully written and instructive as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Dowling manages to combine sometimes lyrical prose with factual information about Islam. Then these are both set within a journey made by himself and his girl friend. I learnt a lot about the Muslim religion incidentally, the best way for me to learn, I think. I enjoyed very much the adventures en route and the beauty of places I will probably never visit. On humid English August afternoons, I was transported to another world. Please write some more Mr Dowling.
