Complicated and rich

I am 100% in the middle with this book. While I enjoyed the main plot, some of the subplots were unnecessary in my opinion and although I felt they were unnecessary, the subplots were all intertwined adeptly making the flow of the book enjoyable. The legend opening the book is a prelude to what you can expect from this book. Magical realism is a pretty important element and something to consider when thinking of reading this book.
