In Good News for Married Lovers, a priest with 27 years experience in marriage renewal and a married Catholic lay woman present a program for marital problem solving that is based solidly in Scripture. The authors challenge couples to heal each others hurts, to love each other deeply, and to paint for each other a vivid portrait of God's unbounded love. In this time of soaring divorce rates and two-career and commuter marriages, this book should be required reading for all Catholic married and engaged couples. In addition, pastors and counselors will welcome this practical guide for Catholic-based marriage advice. Paperback
. . . for couples who want to renew their marriages! As both a married man, and as someone involved in family ministry, I heartily endorse this book! This book, if taken seriously, can help couples in all states of their marital relationships to renew their lives and enrich their relationships with their spouses. Originally written for a Catholic audience, this book is equally appropriate for Christians of other faith communities -- and honestly, many of the principles espoused (and the good ideas) would also be applicable for those of other faiths as well. Honestly, one of the best books of its kind I've encountered. A personal and a professional Top Recommendation.
A Must -Read for Everyone

As a way to keep our 10 yr. marriage healthy and on track, my husband and I have annually read a book or attended a workshop focused on marriage improvement. Never before have we come across a tool that has made more of an impact than this book. Even though its focus is on making its readers better marriage partners, implementing its suggestions will make you a better lover of everyone and encourage you to live a life prioritized properly -- just as it should be in the life of a Christian. The authors have ended their chapters with suggestions for activities closely based on the Worldwide Marriage Encounter practices, so even those who have never "made a weekend" can experience a renewal of their relationship together. And the book is written to be sensitive to those situations where only one partner is interested in improvement and renewal, recognizing that when we improve/change ourselves, it improves our marriage (and sometimes brings our unwilling partner to want to change). The tone of the writing is encouraging and comforting, so it seems as though you are sitting with a loving guide who wants the best for you. A wonderful book!
