David Meurer will keep you in stitches with this laugh-a-minute book about married life. Some really serious topics are included- finances, keeping romance alive - but the mirthful approach to the subject matter is refreshing! Meurer's writing is hilarious and manages to stay funny throughout the book without "spouse bashing" In fact, both husband and wife will come away with a little more appreciation of their differences.
My fiance and I got this book as a gift for our engagement party. I read the entire thing in one sitting and it was definitely worth the time. I do like the humor and the real world senarios the author writes about--AND IT IS NOT TOO PREACHY. This is definitely a book I would pass along to anyone getting married. The author completely understands that women and men are EQUAL in a marriage- that is important! Totally a keeper and remember, not too preachy. Through the stress of planning a wedding, this book made me forget about all that stuff for an afternoon and realize how great it is to have someone in your life.
Dave Meurer's done it again! SOOOO funny!

Dave Meurer isn't called the "Christian Dave Barry" for nothing! This guy is hilarious, and so is this book. I laughed out loud time and time again. Good Spousekeeping is filled with his trademark humor about marriage and everyday life (he's also been called the male answer to Erma Bombeck and there's a reason for that.) But Dave's not only a funny guy, he also offers up wise and profound truths about this wonderful thing called marriage and those vows of "for better or worse...'til death do us part" that we take before God. If you want to laugh until you cry (or snort) read this book. And if you're struggling in your marriage, read this book. And if you know couples just starting out on the marital bliss path, give them this book for a wedding present. They'll thank you. Thank you, Dave, for reminding us what marriage is all about--and for making us laugh like crazy at the same time.
