Little Zeb, according to his mother, is tip-top and gorgeous. And much like any toddler just starting to grasp language, he has begun repeating words he hears without understanding their meaning.... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I bought this for our son's first birthday and now he's three, he still loves hearing it. My husband and I find it fun to read aloud, especially the roaring lion and Little Zeb's squeaky voice. In fact, I took it to his preschool to read to the kids and they loved it. Having a British husband I appreciate the British tone and pronounce the word ZEBra so the name "Zeb" makes more sense (one of the reasons I bought the book was because of the British lingo like "tip-top" and "bottom".) I also love the crayon-like illustrations. They're warm, vibrant and evocative of the African savannah.
a surprising favorite for "big" kids

I picked this book up because of the charming illustrations, not realizing it was aimed at preschoolers. My 7 1/2-year-old twin boys love it. I have read it nightly for about a week. I think there is something about Little Zeb's charm and innocence that appeals to "big boys." Can't wait to get Castle's newest Little Zeb book, "Naughty!"
Gorgeous!

My two daughters--ages 4 1/2 and 1 1/2--love this book. They want me to read it over & over again. And they enjoy Little Zeb's new phrases as much he does!!
