I add this to my collection of cookbooks. Saw a tv feature on the author and wanted to add it to my collection and support the author.

This was actually a gift for my mom, but I flipped through it, too! I love Fr. Leo's outlook on dinner as a family! Not long after purchasing the book, I saw him on Throwdown with Bobby Flay!! Great book for all!

Getting dinner together with everyone's schedule has become more and more difficult. Father Leo's cookbook has truly been a blessing. Now with a little planning to make sure we have the ingredients in the house Dinner is fun again. The kids are learning to cook. They are also talking and making us part of their busy young lives. They get a great sense of accomplishment when they get to eat a good meal made by their own hands. The recipes are straight forward. they do not require weird and hard to find things. Nor do they require a degree from the cordon blue. Their might be other books with similar approaches. We love actively bringing God into the kitchen.
Simple and Satisfying

I am a cookbook reader. I didn't expect that this cookbook would be so much reading! The atmosphere is set for each meal with an explanation of why we combine enjoyable food with celebration. Then two complementary recipes are given. Just reading the ingredients in the recipes and their preparation let me know that these were no ordinary meals. Each recipe has a special twist, an unexpected ingredient which makes the dish so very satisfying. I have just finished a meal of Imperial Salmon and can say it was very good.

Grace Before Meals is more than just a great cookbook. It has stories and great ideas for bringing the family close together with meal preparation. Most families today need to spend more time together. After reading this cookbook, I wished it was around when I was raising my family. The recipes I've tried were very good too. M. Stasko
