Patterns and instructions for 20 beautiful quilts can be found in this latest edition of the Great American Quilts series. Projects range from the very easy to moderately challenging and include both... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I fell in love with these books when I was given the first two books Great American Quilts 1987 and Great American Quilts 1988 by my mother-in-law. Although my marriage did not last, my love affair with these books continues. These books capture a part of quilting history. Including in the books are quilts from beginning quilters to experienced quilters. Patterns range from fairly simple to highly complex. It is enjoyable to go from book to book and see the advances in quilt making designs, fabrics available, and the wealth of creativity of quilters in this country. The quilts are beautifully photographed and a picture of the quilter or bee group is included along with the inspiration for the quilt design or what encouraged someone to take up quilting, or to read about a quilt begun a generation or generations ago and finished by today's generation. Most quilt patterns are given along with fabric requirements and assembly instructions. I hope you, too, with fall in love with these books.
