Great stories, little book

My daughters (5 & 6) and I really like this book. The stories are well suited for a young audience, though my 5 yo was a bit frightened by the picture of the minotaur. Do note the physical size -- this is a "Mini Usborne".
Great Introduction To Mythology

We bought this book to introduce our 5-year old son to Greek mythology while on a cruise around the Greek islands. He adored these stories and found them entertaining as well as memorable. They also enhanced our trip by bringing ancient Greece to life. They are perfect for the 4-9 year old (maybe even older). Not too scary or adult but they retain the spirit of the original tales. Beautiful illustrations (though I also agree we would have liked a few more).

My almost 5 year old daughter loves the stories in this book. She gives it her undivided attention and always wants to read the next story.

I absolutely love this book. I have been reading it to my 5-year-old step son and he loves the colourful pictures and is amazed by the fantastic collection of stories. It is small enough for a youngsters hand and is a great way to start introducing mythology from other cultures. This is truly a beautiful childrens book that will be treasured.

My two boys (7 and 10) where held captive throughout this whole book. They wanted it read to them every night until it was done. The book was easy to understand, with enough pictures for interest, and pronounciation in the back for the greek names. It put all the greek stories together in nice order. We loved it.
