This book, masterfully written by novel master Travis Thrasher, is absolutely in my top ten all time favorite books. This novel redefines the classic crime/suspense tale. Read this book! It has strong action, mystery, romance, and best of all--a powerful redemtive message of love and forgiveness. The realism of this story reminds us all what a truly great novel is made of. I highly suggest this book for lovers of all genres!

I spend my summers at Gun Lake Michigan at my cottage which is what made me first pick up this book. I started reading in the evening and finished it in less than 24 hours. I could not put it down, the characters were very real, they had a lot of depth -all people I could believe existed and could imagining knowing. The interaction between them was genius. Very suspenseful, very interesting, unpredictable. Also while there is a lot of crime in it - it is not gratuitously violent. One of the best books I have ever read, definitely worth it.
This would make a great movie!

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was the second Travis Thrasher book I have read and Mr. Thrasher doesn't disappoint. One suggestion to readers: This isn't a book to pick up, read a couple chapters and then put down and read more a week later. There are lots of characters and putting too much time between readings might cause some confusion. I like how all of the unlikely characters come together at the end with quite a few surprises.

This is a unique book, focusing on several different lives that will meet up for a climatic finish. The characters are very real and believable. The story of redemption is powerfully told, will have you pondering for days after last page.Once again, Travis Thrasher has done an awesome job.

My first read by Travis.I enjoyed the hard to put down volumn that tied the stories of several individuals to Gun Lake. I thought it was believable and compelling.
