A specimen of the distant ancient past is discovered along the Taymyr Peninsula by a Russian college expedition. Their professors, feeling an overwhelming amount of excitement, recruit others to come along the next expedition there. The Americans, Benny and Mike along with his dog, are as equally excited to be recruited and come along. At the Gyatsing Pass Weather Station, near the site of the students' discovery, the staff and security prepare to host the students there for their next trip. A security member, Simon, is skeptical that they'll find anything of importance in comparison to some of the others assigned to the station. The whole of the station's staff stands on standby to help the team in case of an emergency. With a storm quickly coming in, the expedition team quickly makes their way further north of the discovery. With something else lurking out there in the depths of the snow, soon they find themselves tearing at each others throats out of fear. The chaos even pulls others in from the weather station, threatening all the parties involved.
