If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.

this is one of few series i have read that is written extremely well! the characters are awesome and the banter between Alex and Aiden is hilarious. this is a series that, once i am done reading it, i always want to go back and read again!
