It may be little but it's a great read!

This book is only tiny, however it covers the subject well. You can really tell the author delights in handbags and that's one of the things that makes it so fun! There are some wonderful vintage illustrations and quotes about purses that add to the joy of flicking through and feasting your eyes. Another point which I really enjoyed was the authors obvious respect for animals, she talks about the fur and skin trade in relation to accessories and strongly highlights the connection between all creatures great and small and fashion. She makes some strong statements- that crocidile skins and heads on bags are a thing of the past and discusses the alternatives availble. I found this aspect of the book to be particualrly refreshing and enjoyable. The only area in which the book could be improved is the length. I wanted to keep reading and looking but I guess that the beauty of a great book...you don't want it to end.
