While the class can be a confusing mess of lab values and pathologies, Dr. C's book is straightforward and concise. If you're taking her class, this is the only text book you should be using. If you're taking someone else's class, you can use this as a nice study guide or care plan tool! Diagrams and pictures are helpful and it is organized by body systems with a good index in back to guide you to specific diseases, etc. I'd recommend this version since the 2003 addition had incorrect info on a few diseases (eg. diabetes) that have been extensively researched in the last 7 years!

This a great pathophysiology book. The material is condensed and to the point. I think it's an easy read compared to other pathophysiology books.

Corwin gives a good synopsis of the subject. Explaining in clear detail the key mechanisms behind cancer and other afflictions. Aided by a few colour diagrams that are well drawn. The audience is meant to be nurses and other medical personnel (excluding doctors). Yet the text can be useful to an educated layman interested in a synopsis. Much of it can be understandable, without being in a medical profession.
