'In the words of the King of the jungle in the film Jungle Book; 'I have reached the top and had to stop and that's what bothering me...' The monkey's desire to reach beyond his perceived limitation was to become a man-cub. He wanted to walk like and talk like a man-cub. Humanity is in the same predicament. We are born at the top of the food chain, yet devour one another to obtain positions of power, wealth, prestige, fame and some sense of meaning, value and worth. But when we dare to stop and have the courage to face our predicament, we are continually bothered - this is never enough, we sense we constantly lack something. That can make us angry and frustrated. Many of us do not know where to turn. For many, religion has failed to provide an answer as well. Many of us are haunted by UNWARRANTED GUILT. Nevertheless, Jesus' life and teaching remains a generational siren calling to those who are serious about finding freedom from stress, anxiety and fear. To find inner peace and rest, even happiness, in an increasingly fragmented world of opinion, cynicism and a jungle of social breakdown. He is the God-cub we aspire to be. But for the king of the jungle and for humanity in the jungle of our own making, a transformation of the mind is required. For the monkey to be a man-cub, the missing ingredient was to learn to THINK like a man-cub. Likewise for humanity to be a God-cub as God intended, the missing ingredient is to have an enlightened mind like Jesus. This is what this book examines and provides a way forward to be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
