***** As a collector of books about Hawaii, I was surprised to find so much information in such a little book (96 pages)! This small book contains lots of Hawaiian trivia, demographic statistics, definitions, and explanations of things I've found nowhere else. Much creativity was included in putting this volume together For example, one page is devoted to what makes Hawaii unique as a state; it is the only state with: "Land entirely of islands, A royal palace, A single, unified school system, Increasing land area (from volcanic eruptions), A commercial coffee crop, Silversword plants, And the majority of people non-white." Who knew all of this? Other interesting trivia includes who owns the land in Hawaii, what the most popular religions are, what Hawaii has none of (snakes, rabies, cholera, malaria, small pos, yellow fever, billboards), lots of information about natural phenomena, and Hawaiian history. For the price, it's a bargain, and lots of fun to read for those of us who love Hawaii. *****
