A package bearing no return address arrives at the Anthropology Department of the University of. Nevada...and a shocking discovery is made upon opening the box: a genuine shrunken head. At first, Gil Grissom and his team of crime scene investigators -- Catherine Willows, Warrick Brown, Nick Stokes, and Greg Sanders -- consider this merely an oddity, a grisly relic from the past. But when all the evidence points to the fact that it's really the result of a gruesome modern-day murder, suspicions run high that a brutal serial killer with an unorthodox modus operandi may now be on the loose....
This book is totally awesome. The ending was kinda how I expected it to be, but I loved it. One of the best CSI books and I have every one written. Totally recommended.

A great book it made you feel like you were right there along side the CSI.
Fits in like an episode of the series

I've been a CSI fan since it hit the air and, so far, the novelizations have been pretty consistent with the TV show..."Headhunter" is no exception. It isn't the best CSI novel or episode that has come along, but it is a long way from the worst. If you like the show, you should enjoy this title. A little bit of science, a little bit of science fiction, some history, and a good mystery make this book a good read.
