Book Overview

How is the condition of your heart?

Do you sometimes feel as though you can't handle the ongoing problems anymore? The distant spouse. The rebellious child. The needy parent. The overloaded schedule. The lack of money. And does the compounding of these situations sometimes leave you feeling bitter, confused, defensive, and wondering why all these things just seem to be happening to you?

You may be struggling with an orphaned heart.

An orphaned heart is an "unhealed heart" fostered by a lack of biblical parenting. Quite often, a person with an orphaned heart wants to be loved but is afraid to reach out for fear of being rejected. Pastor Casey Treat explains, "Many Christians are bitter, scared, angry, or abusive because their hearts have not been healed."

Casey Treat shares that the heart is the control center of all the success you will experience in life. As you allow your heart to be healed and made whole, you will break negative cycles, such as short-term relationships, debt, and marriage and family problems. You will begin to have fun in your relationships; you will enjoy your job more; and you will feel a sense of destiny.

So, how is your heart condition? You may not know it, but your heart is deciding your quality of life. Make a decision today that you want a whole, healthy, healed heart and begin taking steps to Healing the Orphaned Heart.

Counsel for the hopeless, desperate and hurting

Everyone experiences hurt at some point in his/her life - it's unavoidable in a world populated by other human beings. We see things and do things. We react to incidents and people and their reactions to those incidents. To some extent, most of us live with holes in our hearts, forcing us to deal with that void every day, day in and day out, as we move through our lives. We are all, in some way, orphans with orphaned hearts. Pastor Treat knows whereof he speaks. He has been there, too. You can tell by the insight he demonstrates as he describes how we operate as a result of the hurt, the abandonment and the abuse we have sustained over time. But he also writes of hope and of the awesome gift offered to us by a Father who is always there. If *you* have been there, lonely and hurt, read this book and take those steps to bring yourself back to the One who will never leave you nor forsake you.
