Heart Disease: What Your Doctor Won't Tell You provides clear explanations and much food for thought about commonly prescribed meds and risky procedures. Offers advice on nutrition and supplements. Overall, a well-organized, interesting and easy read. Plenty of references. I now understand more about heart disease and have a list of ideas/questions to discuss with my cardiologist. For the next edition, this book could use another review for typos -- the kind that spell-checkers do not catch. A very minor occasional distraction from an otherwise outstanding book. Currently, if you click the link to search inside this book, what appears is author's book re Fibromyalgia rather than Heart Disease. So, I'll just quote from the back cover: "Don't even think about starting statin drugs, implementing a low-fat diet, or choosing heart surgery until you've read this book."
