Fantastic Book.

This is the book of how Hederick went from being a simple boy in a village ruled by his mom and some unseen god to the top of the Seekers. It's a story about a man who dove into Madness and became a fanatic and the sister who loved him and would not rest until she saw him saved. It's an excellent book with plenty of emotional impact and adventure. It also takes advantage of the D & D Goblin races. In 27 Dragonlance books this is the first one I read that has an Underwater Hobgoblin and a Bug Bear as well as a Slime Monster. The book is written well and is one of the best in the Dragonlance Saga. A must read for Dragonlance fans and fans of Fantasy books in general.

By the end of this book, even though I knew Hederick survived to see the Chronicles, I wanted this guy dead!The Seekers were evil. Their methods were cruel & their reasons made you want to pull your hair out. Hederick was the worst of them all.

I have read a few other books set in Solace and I heard of the Seekers. Didn't really know what they were 'till now. Hederick starts out in a small village where he worships a false god. Then a Seeker preist comes into town and converts Hederick. Then when his cleric sister comes back tot he town, he is forced to "Clense" it. He then goes on to become the world's most powerful religious leader.
