Good book for being mostly black and white

I hate to have to give this book only 4 stars, but the fact that there were only 18 color pictures in this book really took away from all that could be learned from this black and white book. For instance, the author, Herb Olsen, shares his pallet, but the picture of the colors he uses to paint is in black and white. Very disappointing.
What is not disappointing is all the information contained in this wonderful book. For instance the contents are:
Materials, how to use them,
Masking fluid,
The Olsen Palette,
Blending and mixing colors,
The first thaw ( painting procedures step by step),
Twilight,
Pencil sketches,
Morning Fog,
Changing the scene,
Inventing the scene,

I hope that this helps you figure out if this book it will be useful to you. I really enjoyed it. I think that it’s a perfect book for a beginner with some experience who wants to improve their landscapes.
My only problem with the book is the lack of color
