Hero Life - Revelation Plan A: A lens for decoding Revelation and Apocalyptic Literature

Our hearts ignite with interest and passion when we hear stories of bravery and heroism. These kind of stories resonate in a deep place of meaning and purpose. What is that part of all of us that comes alive to hear about the underdog and overcoming great odds and impossible circumstances? It's a design. It's a "plan." A human being is multi-dimensional and infinitely complex. Our Heavenly Father created us like Himself, in His own image. He designed us to live a certain way, and have a specific way of "being" for all the dimensions of who we are to be activated. The hero stories in the Bible are descriptions of this reality, especially the stories of apocalyptic genre - books like Revelation, Daniel, among others. This book emphasizes the created design of humanity from an apocalyptic point of view with the goal of igniting new passion and motivation to live as a hero.

This design or "Plan A" presupposes the free will pursuit of our ultimate hero, Christ. It involves the elements of sacrifice, responsibility, loving God above all, and the willingness to face our biggest fears in quest of who the Lord has created us to be as individuals. Mankind is created to live heroic - overcoming any circumstance of life by transforming the atmosphere toward heavenly, eternal realities.
