For any railroad or history buff, this book is the BOMB, especially if you live in San Francisco or middle CA! MANY pictures of how near the turn-of-the-century, some far-sighted engineers and planners financed and developed a water system to provide for a major city with a ONE HUNDRED YEAR PLAN for future expansion!!??? (Think about that....public project, 100 year scope...!) Train pictures, historic pictures, railroad history. Worth any price. Was out of print for a while but now is back. A superb summary with great pics of the building of Hetch-hetchy dam and railroad and water system to the city. A must buy if you have been to camp Mather.Note this is later edition--maybe the printing of pics is better?
