New York Times bestselling author Hannah Howell returns to the stark majesty of medieval Scotland and the realm of the unforgettable Murray clan, as a seductive knight and a mysterious young woman unite to stop a murderous enemy... Sir Tormand Murray is certainly a rogue, but a callous killer? Never. Yet he cannot explain how he came to wake up next to the butchered body of one of his former lovers. Someone is prepared to kill again and again until Tormand is found guilty and hanged. And his only hope of discovering the culprit lies with Morainn Ross, a reclusive, sensual beauty gifted with second sight. Branded a witch, Morainn has never met a man who accepted her strange talent, much less one who could so easily enflame her passion. There's no resisting Tormand's rugged masculinity--and no escaping the enemy who grows more twisted every day. And even as logic decrees that a lasting union is impossible, Morainn knows her destiny is bound forever with the knight who has claimed her, body and soul. Highland Sinner
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 15 years ago
Tormand Murray's past is coming back to haunt him. Many of the women he has bedded in the past are being brutally killed. Proving his innocence is going to be difficult, especially when he wakes in the bed of one of the slain women. Morainn Ross was exiled years ago for being a witch. Lately her visions have shown her a man she believes to be innocent, accused of slaying women. With few places to find help, Tormand turns to Morainn hoping her visions will lead him to the real killer. Once he sets eyes on Morainn, Tormand's wandering eyes cease to wander. Morainn doesn't fool herself believing a man like Tormand will ever want her for anything more than her body, but her traitorous heart wants him anyway. If they don't find the killer soon, Tormand may hang and Morainn may be the next victim, before Tormand has the chance to prove that he is changing his ways. Tormand is the sinner of the Highlands. He leaves a trail of well-loved women in his wake. Morainn`s feelings regarding Tormand's colorful past with the lasses are definitely valid, but the heart wants what the heart wants, and Morainn's wants Tormand. Highland Sinner's tale of suspense and gruesome imagery is a well-done modern suspense story in a historical setting.
Scottish Historical Romance from 1478

This is not my normal novel - 1478 not my norm - but I really enjoyed this book. Sir Tormand Murray is being accused of murder and asks the local 'witch' Morainn for help solving the mystery. I loved how strong the characters were - great historical romance and mystery. Enjoy!
