He tried. Kagiura really, really did try to tell Hirano how he felt, but Hirano just isn't getting it! And after regrouping with his amazing friend Niibashi, Kagiura isn't sure...whether there is anything to get. Does he want to kiss Hirano? Or do even more...? Meanwhile, as the clock winds down and the school year draws to a close, the time for Hirano and Kagiura to go their separate ways approaches...
This story almost got me teary. I don’t know. I’m really liking the moments between Hirano and Kagiura.
Hirano and Kagiura Volume 2 (Kagiura Confesses His Feelings to Hirano)
Published by C.M. Bishop , 1 year ago
The second volume begins with Kagiura phoning his friend, Niibashi, describing his love confession to Hirano. Niibashi breaks it to Kagiura that Hirano may not be in love with him because he doesn’t understand Kagiura’s feelings for him. On Christmas Day (which also happens to be Kagiura’s birthday), they throw a Christmas party and a birthday party for Kagiura. Kagiura was about to tell Hirano his feelings for him, but the surprise birthday party, the one that Hirano threw for Kagiura, interrupted him.
Later on, Kagiura’s family flashback is revealed. Kagiura admires his parents and wants a relationship similar to theirs with Hirano. When Kagiura meets up with Niibashi for ice cream, Niibashi attempts to wrap his brain around why Kagiura wants to marry Hirano. Niibashi narrows the question to if Kagiura would want to kiss Hirano. Kagiura’s cogs spin in his brain as he ponders the thought.
Kagiura invites Hirano to visit a shrine for the New Year. This opportunity allows Kagiura to answer questions that have plagued his mind. Hirano makes Kagiura ecstatic when Hirano promises to visit the shrine with Kagiura next year. Kagiura is so happy he offers Hirano the opportunity to lay their heads on one another’s laps. Hirano humors his request. Shortly after, Kagiura distances himself from Hirano. Hirano is bothered by Kagiura’s actions so much that Sasaki and Hanzawa notice.
When Hirano and Kagiura do meet up, Kagiura feels different and ends up sick the next day. Niibashi visits Kagiura in the nurse’s office and discovers how deep Kagiura’s feelings run. When Niibashi tells Hirano about Kagiura’s condition, he sprints to the nurse’s station. As Kagiura opens his eyes, he confesses his feelings for Hirano and falls asleep afterward. Once Kagiura finds out it wasn’t a dream, he finds Hirano to explain his feelings. Even though Hirano says he can’t return those feelings, Kagiura will not give up easily, especially since Hirano wants Kagiura to be his roommate next year as well. Hanzawa may be able to make that happen. We’ll see.
I can’t wait for Volume 3 of Hirano and Kagiura to come out. There were so many fantastic scenes between these two characters. Hanzawa and Niibashi are getting more involved in their friends’ friendship/relationship (whatever you want to call it). And even though Hirano says he can’t return Kagiura’s love, he sure doesn’t want to let him go either. 😉 If only Miyano could take a read of these volumes, he’d be in BL heaven.
