My husband and I have had a koi pond for 9 years now. It all started with one little Kohaku I got at a pet store. Within a year he was too big for a 55-gallon aquarium! So the pond was dug, the liner laid down, we filled it with water and put in a waterfall and filtration systems. We now have 50 koi...some of then are 2 feet long! These magnificent fish require a lot of care and they grow very fast. Water quality is a big issue. This book addresses all of these issues in a concise, easy to understand manner. If you're thinking of getting some koi...it's a real commitment. But, my God, they're wonderful.
