Tony Paul explains which photographs - from landscapes and seascapes to portraits and animals - inspire a painterly approach and shows how to adapt the image: cropping, adding in or omitting elements,... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is an excellent book, it helps you understand why some of your paintings having a photograph as source, do not result in the astonishing image you expected. Mr. Tony Paul teaches you what a really interesting picture is and why so that you can take better photos, he also explains how to combine elements from different photos and create a wonderful painting and he gives nice examples of this. Indirectly, you also get very relevant info about color, light and shadow, composition, perspective, etc.I highly recommend it.
