Updated to reflect the most recent tests, this manual presents a detailed subject review covering all AP Psychology test topics plus a diagnostic test and two full-length practice exams. All test... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is one of the most helpful Barron's review books because it has everything that is useful to you, the test-taker. It even has a table of contents, with the percentages next to each chapter reflecting how significant the material in the chapter is to the test. As with all Barron's, the test questions are harder than the actual test, so if you get a 5 on the practice tests, you are essentially guaranteed a 5 on the exam. If you are still unsure, buy "5 steps to a 5: ap psychology" just to "be sure." Get this book as a supplement to your AP Psychology textbook for review. Or, as another reviewer stated, you can buy this review book if you haven't taken AP psychology and would like college credit. It's not as easy as he says- but it's much easier with this book. Overall, a very comprehensive guide, well worth your $12.
Excellent!

On the AP test, I had a little bit of trouble with the free response section, but the multiple choice was a breeze, thanks to this book! It explains the concepts using crystal-clear examples of real-life situations. When you are taking the exam, you'll remember the examples in this book. To do well on the free response, answer practice questions. I didn't, and it hurt me on the exam, but that was my fault, not the book's. The book was immensely helpful!
I have never encountered a more perfect review book

I never took a psychology course in my life, but one day, for some reason or another, I decided to take the AP psychology exam. I picked up this book, read it throughly and took the tests at the back. On test day, I was literally laughing because the test was EXACTLY the material presented in the Barron's book. I breezed through effortlessly and got a 5. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the makers of this book- i cannot tell you my appreciation, and i applaud your production of an outstanding review book. If you truly know every concept in this book, I cannot, in anyway, foresee a score less than a 5. by the way, the tests at the back of the book are slightly more complicated than the real thing, so don't be alarmed if you miss 10 or 15...keep in mind i was laughing on test day. thank you barron's

I never took (in fact, my high school didn't even offer) AP psych. I had only a little background in psych when I bought this book and read it cover-to-cover. I requested a special testing session at my school and I got a 5 on the test, getting me out if intro psych at the U of M. So, if you're willing to put in some serious and concentrated study with this book, I think it will be a great help. I owe a lot to it.
Best AP Psychology book

Basically, there are three ap psychology review books. There are slight problems with all of them. REA is completely off topic. While REA is usually one of the best for test prep, it just doesn't cut the cake in this one. Princeton Review is usually one of the worst. It over simplifies things, give sample questions that are way too easy (which means you're screwed for the real test)and doesn't include all the info. In this case, Barrons is the best. It's concise, covered almost all the information on the test, and gives accurate sample questions. it includes a handy summary of the famous people you have to know and what they did. It's only flawed is that it failed to cover a few facts, but then again, no book can guarantee a complete coverage of everything that can possibly be covered. I strongly recommend the Barrons for anyone who intend on getting a 4 or 5 on the psych test.
