PRAISEFOR DANIEL KURTZMAN "You should pick up this book before your next dinner party." Gayle King, editor-at-large of O, The Oprah Magazine and host of "The Gayle King Show" on Oprah and Friends "Daniel Kurtzman doesn't have a political axe to grind. He has two axes to grind. And he does it with the sharpest wit seen in these bipartisan parts for quite some time. Crisscrossing the aisle with wickedglee; no matter which book you finish first, you'll immediately want to run out and get the other one to discover what he said about your side. Just remember to wear a disguise." Will Durst, political satirist and author of The All-American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing "No one knows political satire like Daniel Kurtzman." Andy Borowitz, creator of The Borowitz Report and author of The Republican Playbook "When the folks over at JibJab are looking for a fair and balanced laugh, Daniel Kurtzman's our guy. His How to Win a Fight with a Liberal / Conservative will have you in stitches regardless of your political affiliation!" Gregg Spiridellis, co-founder of JibJab.com
My husband does not read for pleasure. I bought this for him for Christmas and he actually is **reading** it! Haven't heard any complaints, just a snicker or laughter now and then, while he's entranced in it. It's a miracle I tell you! He's enjoying it in spite of himself..
Laugh-out-loud hysterical!

This book gave me a ton of new material for my humor emails to my neocon pals. Kurtzman totally nailed it when it comes to a fresh look at the political craziness that divides us. I especially liked the "Know Your Enemy" chapter, where he comes up with some clever new names for various liberal types (every time I think about "Hillary Krishnas," I crack up). All in all, this book is a thoroughly entertaining read. It's also loaded with practical advice that works. I love being able to zing my progressive pals, without first having to remove all the sharp objects from the room. I only wish the GOP presidential candidates themselves would read this book and lighten up, already!
If I can laugh at liberals, anyone can!

I loved Dan's companion book about winning fights with conservatives, but I was worried I might find it difficult to laugh at the political party I'm counting on to save the universe from our present administration. I need not have worried: liberals are as ridiculous as any other politicians. Oh yes, they do have feet of clay. After spending so much time feeling helpless, enraged and filled with hatred, it feels really good to laugh. I needed these books!
Funny and insightful!

This book had me in stitches from the start. It is a wise-cracking look at the relationships between liberals and conservatives, and how to bring a lib over to your side. (There is a companion book about how to beat a conservative by the same author). He includes funny anecdotes, as well as tools to actually help you debate an opponent without starting a fist-fight. If you like political humor, you'll like this book. If you're liberal, you can laugh at yourself, or go get "How to win a Fight with a Conservative"
Smart and funny political mockery

This book is hilarious, outrageous, and dead-on with its commentary about liberals and politics in general. I first heard about it on a conservative blog that linked to an interactive "what breed of conservative are you?" quiz excerpted from the book. I took the quiz and it was spot-on for me and also hilarious. The book is loaded with humorous tips, lists, and quizzes, and one of my favorite parts is the Liberal Hall of Shame that mocks the crazies on the left. There's humor throughout the book even in chapters that are geared to specific debating strategies. This book makes the potentially dry subject of politics lively and entertaining.
