Excellent revision / update. The preface by Marilyn Gilbert and all the tributes make this an important and engaging read for everyone in the field (performance improvement & training). I would never get rid of my dog-earred original (1978) but I'm glad I made this purchase!

This book is must-reading for those in learning, development, and human performance improvement. The late Gilbert deserves much more credit than he receives. Much of his work is "sampled" in newer books, but this is the definitive source!
