Growing up can be an exciting time and troublesome. I once read that children get their identity from their parents. If that is the case, there are many households where one may be missing which leaves the parent raising the child a little time between their job and other requirements to provide for the household.
Some children are getting identity from the wrong source. There is a possibility of dark influences that all children might face these days through peers whose families are not walking with the Lord. I Am My Father's Child is just a reminder to those of all ages that none of us are fatherless. We only have to seek him and read his words, and we will have the right identity.
