Once I started reading "I Hated Heaven" I could not put it down. The title alone draws a curious interest in the book. I am an agnostic who found the book entirely enjoyable, and am looking forward to the sequel. Kemp's humorous look at "heaven" and the "afterlife", makes an otherwise religious storyline interesting for all readers regardless of their beliefs. The plot keeps you reading, and the ending will surprise you.

In a world where there is so much convuluted gibberish about death, it is refreshing to read something which offers a little clarity. I loved this book. The author paints a beautiful story of love that is stronger than death and along the way presents some profound ideas about the nature of our existence. The people who created "What Dreams May Come" should read this book to get a clue.
