I love love love this! Recommend for infants on up. We'll be buying the I Love My Daddy as well. We have the bilingual version of the book, and it is fantastic. Accurate depictions of animals, and statements about how the mommas show love to the babies that will mesh with lives of any child. I also love that this is a Mommy book that DOESN'T rely on obnoxious stereotypes. My favorite page is that with the elephants (I love my mommy because she is big and strong). Awesome!!!! We'll be making this a go to shower gift.
Great book for kids

This was a great Mothers' Day gift and a big hit at our house for mother and 2 year old daughter alike. It's a great companion to "I Love my Daddy Because...", and really, if you have one, you need the other. My daughter loves the animal pictures, and she loves having this read to her. This is a pretty durable book, too, which is key for toddlers. Recommended for kids as young as 18 months.

I keep buying more copies of this book to give to children here in the Dominican Republic who are learning english. The pictures on the faces of ALL the animals are incredible in their depiction of love for her child. And the words and concepts are beautiful as well. The fact that it is in english and spanish makes a beautiful book that much better.
Good book to read before bed

Just another book to read before bed or any time for that matter. Not only because it's pictures are very tranquil. The child learns new things at the same time without even knowing it.

You don't have to speak Spanish to enjoy this book. The drawings are beautiful and the words on each page are really touching. My 2-year-old son loves to identify the animals in the pictures and who could argue with sentiments like "I love my mommy because she keeps me warm and safe." I would highly recommend this book to anyone! The words are all printed in Spanish and English, including the names of the animals on each page.

I love this book, and I love my Mommy for buying it and reading it to me. I always asked questions about other mommies. Now I know that animals have mommies who love them too.
