I Should Have Been A Rock Star is a science fiction book with a bitter sense of humor. Our hero Don Calandri is transported into outer space to serve the witch Nellie Watt. She is engaged in some cosmic game with the dreaded Time Lords. If Nellie wins she will earn the right to go to the Twinkling Of Twilights and press the 'Reset Button' and thus returning the universe back to its genesis. Meanwhile, on planet Earth, Don's three roommates try to cash in on his vanishing act. The three claim that he was kidnapped by Satanists. They do this to score chicks and make money of course. But when the Satanists show up angry that their 'dark lord' has been besmirched trouble starts brewing. All and all it leaves you with the question of just why aren't you a rock star?
