Icelandic-Canadian Popular Verse features 274 verses and poems, both originals and translations, that reflect Icelandic immigrant life on the Prairies. Recorded in western Canada, Washington, and North Dakota in 1966-1969, these verses and poems convey the thoughts and experiences of Icelandic immigrants and their descendants.
