An (apparently) frivolous Tohdou and an (overly) series Tamiya. The twocontinue to collide, but have finally become lovers after graduation. This istheir life afterwards, living together, but... things really can't be thatsimple and easy, right? The long awaited conclusion to Ichigenme... The FirstClass is Civil Law is here with bonus material. Tohdou's younger brothereven makes a "guest appearance "
I agree with everything R. Parklane states above. Volume 2 stands alone. I have not read Volume 1 and I had no problem with the continuity. I feel Hiroaki Toudou (younger brother) is the coolest character, and if you want great character development and hot explicit sex this one is for you.
Wow! This one is HOT! Love this 2 volumes story!

Well, I have to say Vol 2 took me by surprise. If we find Vol 1 lacking in sex and love, Vol 2 more than make up for it. Yoshinaga has given us all the sexy, explicit and hot positions here :). There's one which is drawn from the top view and I do not know how she managed it but it sure is HOT!. And I just have to marvel at the intense and passionate expressions on her guys faces' when they are into it. The story continues 7 years later. Tohdou and Tamiya are now living as a couple and hardly have time to explore their love as each is overwelmed by his career. But of course love is always there. Just that Tamiya is too serious and reserved to express it while Tohdou is forever wanting to hear the 3 words from his uke. And when Tamiya finally does somewhat express it (really sexy here), I have to say Yoshinaga certainly has a point (chuckle..). Their living together with all the odd moments as a gay couple is very well expressed in a series of short stories, which are linked effectively together and of course imbued with Yoshinaga's wry sense of humor. Yoshinaga has also given us another couple, Tohdou's gay brother (this character is really cool) and a much older crime law professor. Tohdou's brother of course has a thing for much older men and their love story is credible and well explored too. There is also a bittersweet bonus story on the younger brother's first gay relationship. Her artwork is ofcourse a distinct class by itself. I am very pleased to have Ichigenme in my Yaoi collection and it is definitely "a must have".
