This was a really interesting book. It was a little sad, because through it all was woven a thread of "but these things we love are slowly disappearing." But at the same time I loved reading what real (though famous) people think about little facets of English life, things that most people might not notice or think about or know about. I love England, but my experience there is pretty limited and mostly tourism-based. I enjoy the real stuff, too, and this book was packed full of it.
