This book was compiled and written by Mike Fertig, and is essentially a feel-good photo book of cats in the spirit of "The Blue Day Book." I bought it to brighten the day of a cat lover, and for simple feline entertainment it is a good value. The photographs are generally very good and some are exquisite, while the captions are generally relatively airy, though some (like the Nigerian proverb that makes up my title) are relatively more entertaining and cerebral than would be expected. This book takes about two minutes to read, as it is mostly pictures of cats, but it is inexpensive, fun, and makes an excellent small gift for a cat lover.
