I bought this book because I like Claire Coninger's other book called Postcards from heaven. This one is a good read - it is the same format, but it is letters from heaven instead of postcards. Sometimes the letters can be a bit long. This book would be great as a gift paired with the postcards from heaven book. This is a must addition to your library if you enjoy books that encourage others.

I lost my mother almost a year ago after a broken hip, culminating in complications from chronic pulmonary disease. She was coming along beautifully when she suddenly went into a rapid and heartbreaking decline. I found this book in the Dayton Airport and immediately bought one for my sister and myself. It has helped me through the most painful grief I have ever experienced. So much so, that I purchased five more copies to share with others who may experience profound grief through loss, divorce or tragedy. I'll continue to share this timeless, comforting book with others who are hurting.
