About the Author:
Rick Daniels grew up in Washington, DC and attended DC Public Schools. He was diagnosed with lead poisoning in his early childhood years, which resulted in a reading and writing disability. Although he still struggles with reading and writing as an adult, he has managed to write several children's books.
Ricks's first book, was published in 2014, and it is titled "Little Remy: The Little Boy Who Doesn't Want to Go to School." This book tells a story about a little boy who gets bullied because he cannot read or write. This story is loosely based on the author's life story of being bullied. He went on to create another series of books, which are the Ike and Mike books, which were published in 2017. Rick found his passion in writing children's books and plans to entertain his audience with many more books in the future.
About this book:
Ike and Mike are once again tired of sitting on the back of the sofa in author Rick Daniels' home. The two decide to come alive and go shopping to get the ingredients to make a pizza. Lucky, their tiger cub friend, who has never been on an adventure with Ike and Mike, asks if he can tag along. While shopping for pizza ingredients, the three decide to also buy fruits. The three play a game of counting fruit which teaches basic math skills.
This book includes an interactive game which will teach children how to: count, spell, identify fruits, recognize shapes and colors, and pronounce each fruit correctly.
