This is a wonderful book and should certainly have a place on anyone's Napoleonic bookshelf. It is almost certainly the best account available of the events of 1813-1814. Military and political events are properly balanced, with neither receiving too much or too little attention. The author is also able to draw about the characters themselves, especially Napoleon himself.
