Based on my two sittings of the new SAT, I can vouch that this book contains some accurate tips about the real traps the College Board loves to use on the SAT--particularly the Math section. And, given its price, I would highly recommend it to someone looking for an exact look at how the authors of the SAT try to trick the students who take their exam.

This book gives basic understandable concepts that can be easily applied the day of the SAT. For those that don't want to put in the time or investment of a more comprehensive book or course, this is still a great buy and very helpful! I am using it along with another the New 2005 SAT book and CD-Rom. There is some overlap, but is still great review material.
A Book which you can read on the bus

This book is simple and incisive, but don't expect it can either give you something "big" nor improve your score significantly. It only introduces you what the new SAT is like. Those sample questions are the most worthy part of the book. Those so-called strategies are not really different from the old SAT bks except for the new sections which are added. This bk is really small that you can carry and read while you are waiting for the train or sitting on the dam bus with nothing to do. As it is not really expensive, i think the price is fair.
