new author, great book

it is rare that i find a british police procedural whose author is new to me....i happened to pick this one up & after reading the synopsis, bought it...it is very real to life...jim proby (the inspector) is human, with the weaknesses of all humans...very good story. the author lets you know who the killer is halfway thru, but this does not keep you from wanting to read the whole story...i want more jim proby, please!!
