Bertoline's texts are the leading books in the engineering and technical graphics fields. Introduction to Graphics Communication for Engineers presents both traditional and modern approaches to engineering graphics, providing engineering and technology students a strong foundation in graphics methods through visualization, drawing, drafting, CAD software, and 3-D modeling. A strong emphasis on design in industry is found throughout, reinforcing the real and practical ways that technical graphics skills are used by engineers. Introduction to Graphics Communications for Engineers is part of McGraw-Hill's B.E.S.T. series that introduces students to standard practices and tools used by engineers and engineering students.
This book is quite small, so it seems very expensive. The technical content, however is excellent! I am keeping this book as reference for now, but hope to get a better book for a class on this subject next year.
good book.

I got this book for my CAD class(we modeled the problems with solidworks). I actually needed to get the newer version of this (one with the green cover) but i got this and pretty much all the problems were the same. Some were numbered differently and the pages were off a little. For example, the problems on lets say, page 90 of the green one , start in page 87 in this one. I just compared with my friend who had the new one and found the problem on mine. The book itself is good, they have alot of problems to practice with, though no solutions are given for these. But the chapters explain stuff quite well with alot of pictures and examples showing the definitions. Its a thin book and easy to carry around as well.
