Cutting to the quick!

I only have a BA in Theology and have only been a Believer for five years, but I have seen enough of the North American Church to tell me that Jeremiah Burroughs hits the mark when it comes to describing the deepest issues that cause divisions in God's Church. Although almost four hundred years old, it amazingly speaks to today's NA Church. I have already recommended it to most of the pastor's I know because I believe that it deals with the heart matters of pride which is the core to the divisions in the Church. I'm not saying that your church has the problems Burroughs is talking about, but it probably will at some time or has had in the past. Understanding the pride of the heart is essential in dealing with the divisions in the Church. I pray God will guide you through this book and challenge your own outlook on the people in your church.
