Jerusalem: it's a city so sacred it captures the imagination. Generations have lived in the shadows of its walls-Abraham, Isaac, David, Bathsheba, Jesus, Invaders, Crusaders, the dispersed people of Israel returning at last to their beloved homeland. This is a sweeping saga of their loves, losses, hopes, and glories. And amid the remarkable human drama, is the hand of One who calls the city His own. This impressively ambitious, slightly whimsical, and never-boring tale is from million-selling novelist Ellen Gunderson Traylor, "America's Foremost Biblical Novelist."
As usual this is a wonderful book by E. Traylor. It is such a well written, and fun story about the most sacred city on earth. It tells about the lives of the people who loved, and lived there. I recommend all of her books, this one included.
Good Read!

The book is very good as many are from Ellen Gunderson Traylor. It has brought alive many of the Bible's heroes. The only bad thing about the book are the numerous typographical errors - more than I've seen in any book. They don't take away from the stories, but one of the sections is entitled David and the Ark: 100 BCE (yes, one hundred.) Traylor's best book was John Son of Thunder...too bad its not still in print.
Your mind-print of Jerusalem

After reading "Jerusalem" by Ellen Gunderson Traylor, you'll forever have her beautifully written impressions on your mind whenever doing any Bible reading or watching the news. This book was written chronologically in a novel format and describes the setting and people very well, as well as the character of the city at that point in time. I especially was touched by her description of the wicked Caananite town through the eyes of a little Hebrew boy sneaking into town one night. Don't pass this one up!
An incredible historic drama unfolds before your eyes...

Admittedly, I had a hard time getting into this book at first. But having read other books by this author, I knew that this book would make the biblical account of The City of Peace come to life...and so it did! A MUST READ!
You will never look at Jerusalem the same again.

This series of books makes the characters of the bible come alive. They are intriguing to read, and this a fun way to learn about the history of God's city. This book is broken into several sub-stories, based on the time period. Fantastic Book!
