Great pics, true to Bible, beautiful Jesus portrayal

We tried the Zondervan Beginner Bible which was all right but with lousy pictures and a bit shallow. Then we got The New Bible is Pictures for Little Eyes which has great pictures and includes many more stories, but someone is getting beat up or killed on almost every page. It is a bit too "worship out of fear" and portrays God as scary and vengeful and angry and killing which I don't think a 3 year-old can fully understand. This one is great--it portrays Jesus accurately and beautifully.

This book of Bible Stories is full of fun and interesting for children to learn about the Biblical stories. I have given many nieces and nephews this book for kindergarten graduation or First Communion. Lovely illustrations, too.
